The Staten Island Justice Center offers special programs for local youth and young adults on Staten Island, with a focus on those with or at risk of justice involvement. The Justice Center provides participants with leadership development tools and connects them to opportunities that promote positive engagement with the community. Each year, we serve more than 150 young people.
The Staten Island Justice Center seeks to improve public safety and reduce the use of incarceration. The Justice Center provides judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys with alternative community sentencing options that hold individuals accountable in a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and restorative. The goal is to connect participants to services that help them to avoid future contact with the justice system, and promote swift case resolutions that bolster public confidence in justice.
