Our operating programs are dedicated to serving our community and are still here to help during this difficult time.
Many of our programs are continuing to offer services remotely and are available to help. We will update this page as we have new information. Please find details for each location below.
On March 16, the New York State Unified Court System and the New York City Police Department ordered that the Midtown Community Court's staff temporarily provide services remotely so that Midtown Community Court could be used as an emergency court part for the City. For information about the courthouse building during this difficult time, visit http://nycourts.gov/whatsnew/covid.shtml.
For people with open and ongoing court matters, the court will administratively adjourn your case to a future date. Please contact your lawyer if you have any questions about your case. If you do not know who your lawyer is, or do not have a lawyer, please contact the Criminal Court Call Center at 646-386-4900.
If you are currently enrolled in a program or services at Midtown Community Court, or if you are in need of services, please see the list of groups and services Midtown offers below, along with contact information.
The Newark Municipal Court is closed from March 16 through at least April 27 due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. All court dates and Newark Community Solutions programming will be canceled during this period. Please DO NOT report to any scheduled community service, counseling sessions, groups, or court dates during this time. You WILL NOT be penalized by the program or the court. All Newark Youth Court and Newark Community Solutions Victim Services (Hawthorne Office) programming will be suspended through 4/27 as well. As things change we will update this site and our social media, all links listed in the PDF below. You can also leave us a message at the phone numbers in the PDF below. We are checking voicemails several times a day in order to get back to you as soon as possible.
In order to stay in touch with our community, over the next few days members of our staff will be reaching out via social media to provide additional guidance, tips, and support, along with information about “call-in office hours” in case you want to speak with someone one-on-one while our offices are closed.
Finally, if you are experiencing a fever, cough, or shortness of breath, call your healthcare provider. If you have questions or do not have a healthcare provider, you can call the 24/7 New Jersey COVID-19 Call Center at 800-222-1222.
During the ongoing public health crisis, Project Reset and Reset+ is still available and continues to serve the community remotely. If you are interested in completing Project Reset or Reset+, please go to our website for more information and to get in touch with your program provider.
