Noel Altaha

Noel has worked with several tribal courts to assist with justice system needs assessments, and strategic planning projects. She has also assisted in the development of child witness materials for Native American and Alaskan Native children and youth testifying in Tribal, State, and/or Federal Courts. She has also provided support in the development of a Risk-Need-Responsivity tool for tribal courts. Prior to joining the Center, Noel provided direct services to children in foster care program residing in Brooklyn and Queens. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and is a Licensed Master Social Worker. Noel is an enrolled member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe.
