Justice for Families supports communities in developing and implementing projects to address domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence.
With the support of the Office on Violence Against Women, we work with these communities in every stage of their projects. This includes assessing community needs through site visits and questionnaires designed to identify current system gaps, and offering a range of trainings and helping jurisdictions plan their own local, statewide, and regional trainings. We also evaluate the process and outcomes of domestic violence-related projects, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and work to foster judicial leadership and engage key community members. As well, our experts can assist with the planning and implementation of domestic violence courts and arrange site visits and mentoring relationships with national court staff and peers.
