Greenpoint Youth Court
As part of a strategic process to centralize youth programming and resources at larger Community Justice Centers, the Center for Court Innovation closed the Greenpoint Youth Court in May 2014. The Center continues to plan and complete community service projects in and around Greenpoint through efforts coordinated at other locations including Brooklyn Justice Initiatives in downtown Brooklyn as well as the Red Hook and Brownsville Community Justice Centers.
Referrals within the North Brooklyn and Queens catchment areas can be sent directly to one of the following Youth Courts: .

The Greenpoint Youth Court opened its doors in 2009, and served nearly 700 young people who completed hundreds of community service hours to benefit the neighborhood. The Greenpoint Youth Court greatly thanks its numerous supporters and partners, including the New York City Police Department, the New York Department of Probation, the New York Law Department, New York City Council Member Stephen Levin, New York State Assembly Member Joseph Lentol, the East River State Park, the Greenpoint Reformed Church food pantry, the Greenpoint Chamber of Commerce, HEALTH for Youths, Nixon Peabody, and the Groundswell Community Mural Project.
